Deaf Culture and TDD Training
Understanding deaf culture and the requirements set by the ADA Title II is a basic requirement for ECPs.
Upon completion of this training, the student will be able to:
The student will be able to relate statistics of hearing disabilities.
The student will be able to list the causes of hearing disabilities.
The student will be able to discuss deaf culture.
The student will be able to differentiate between Big D and little D culture.
The student will be able to discuss communication in deaf culture.
The student will be able to explain the purpose of the TDD.
The student will be able to distinguish between Baudot tones and fax machine tones.
The student will be able to list the common abbreviations used in text conversations.
The student will be able to detail the requirements of the ADA Title II.
The student will be able to determine the TDD training suggested by the DOJ.
