In 2018, the city of Austin, Texas was inundated with calls regarding suspicious packages after a series of bombs exploded in the city. Telecommunicators were responsible for ensuring proper questions and instructions were given to callers, as it was unknown when the next bomb would go off.
This course will cover calls related to bombs and explosive devices, focusing on questions and instructions for callers.
I have over 22 years of experience as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator/Trainer. I have experience in PSAPs large and small. I currently work part-time in a PSAP to retain my skills and industry knowledge.
