Upon completion of this training, the student will be able to:

The student will be able to differentiate between different kinds of hearing aids.
The student will be able to list three types of hearing aids.
The student will be able to explain cochlear implants.
The student will be able to explain the controversy surrounding cochlear implants in the Deaf community.
The student will be able to explain implanted devices which help with hearing loss.
The student will be able to discuss assisted listening devices used by persons who are hard of hearing or Deaf.
The student will be able to explain different types of phones used by persons who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
The student will be able to discuss closed captioning on television programs.
