Course Goal

To educate Telecommunicators on the differences between a typical Active Shooter incident and a Terrorist Active Shooter incident.

In the last several years there have been a number of terrorist active shooter incidents in the US. Telecommunicators should be prepared to differentiate between a typical active shooter incident and a terrorist active shooter incident.


This course will discuss the increase in active shooter incidents committed by terrorists. There are many differences in a “typical” active shooter incident and a terrorist active shooter incident. There are several implications of a terrorist active shooter incident.
