To explain human trafficking and the crimes associated with human trafficking.

Human trafficking is a real-world issue. Millions of people are trafficked around the world, including in the United States.

Telecommunicators may receive calls of suspicious circumstances or persons which may lead to human trafficking.

Introduction

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery, with up to 45 million people enslaved in the world.

Sex trafficking and labor trafficking are most commonly seen in the United States.

Runaway children and foster children are at risk of sex trafficking.
