Hate Crimes

Course Goal

This course will discuss types of hate crimes and the processing of hate crime calls.

There are thousands of hate crime incidents reported each year and thousands more which are never reported. Hate crimes can be minor crimes or major crimes involving loss of life. Telecommunicators should be able to recognize a potential hate crime. 

Introduction

This course will discuss the history of hate crimes, define hate crimes, relate statistics related to hate crimes, review recent hate crime, and cover processing calls regarding hate crimes.
